This week, in anticipation of the dynamite Accidental Comedy Fest this weekend, host Craig Lyndall sat down with sandwich expert and comedian and ACF organizer Ramon Rivas.

They talked about the fest, natch, but also the Cleveland comedy community, how it's grown, and Ramon's travels and how they play into what he's doing here. They also dig back into the city's comedy history (including a lot of stuff that we didn't know, or had forgotten) and the long way we've come since then.

Grab a sandwich, grab a ticket for this weekend, and listen.

This week, host Craig Lyndall sat down with staff writer Sam Allard to hit the week's newsiest news.

- Our cover story on Paul Pelton, the so-called Nightcrawler of Lorain who videotaped a grisly crash scene involving two teens, who the media painted as a man who wanted to sell the footage to local TV stations, and the true story behind the headlines.

- 19 Actions News' announcement that the station will drop the action news format and focus on more quality (and positive) journalistic efforts.

- The wide-ranging discussion, hosted by the City Club, on the future of the lakefront in Cleveland, which is something we always seem to talk about but never get any action on.

On this episode of Two Girls With Glasses, Brandi McElhatten and Nikki Delamotte chat up the co-owners of the new Canopy Collective in the former BuckBuck art gallery space (3910 Lorain Ave., 216-309-1090canopy-collective.com), Erika Durham and Anthony Koch. The space combines multi-purpose studios for artists as wide-ranging as photographers, toymakers and poets, events and classes and a front retail space.

Durham and Koch talk about their background that led to the store’s May opening and the events they’ve hosted in their space since, including a screening of Turnstyle Films’ documentary Draw Hard, PenPal Social Club, tango lessons and yoga.

They also discuss some of the upcoming events to look out for, such as a mini indie film fest, literature readings, painting classes and a Father’s Day market.
